Yeahhh~ show me the moneyyyyy!!! I want
more moneyyyyy!!!!
The world nowadays seems to be more
monetary demanding than ever. Perhaps that’s just me. Perhaps I wasn’t feeling
it before as I’ve not earned & have not had this much of responsibility to
hold. Or perhaps it’s the generation I’m living with – Gen Y with the extraordinary
need of instant gratification, exceptional sense of independence and ego and may
I say, somewhat self-centered.
Somehow, quick conversation during lunch-time
could get me thinking for hours. Do we really know what we want? Were we being
spoon-fed too often that we seem to only be thinking of what the others could
give us instead of the other way around. Nothing seems to satisfy us anymore.
RM3k as a starting pay ain’t gonna cut it no more. We need more!!!
In the desperation to find a few extra cash
in the pockets, I’ve had a few encounters with Multi Level Marketers and
self-proclaim investment experts. Sounds pretty enticing but as an Actuarial
Science graduate, I can’t help but to exhaustively calculate all the risks
involved before setting my foot-in in any of the business, regardless of the
introducer and the amount of money they’ve shown me.
MLM:
As a Muslim, I find it a little difficult
to be dwelling in such businesses without the doubt on the Halal & Haram
concept. It is a little overwhelming to be explained hence I urge you to refer
to this website for further info: http://zaharuddin.net/pelaburan-&-perniagaan/222-multi-level-marketing-menurut-shariah.html
VGMC:
1.
I have major doubt on whether
or not this is permitted in Islam. For all I know, it seems like a peculiar
investment. I don’t know what the trading is done upon. One thing I know in
rukun jual beli is you can’t be trading for something that is none-existing (Yes, this would mean that Forex is of
similar verdict).
2.
My quick research has shown
that VGMC has a high potential to being just a SCAM. Security Commision itself
has declared that VGMC is an unauthorised investment product/company. Hmmmmmphhh…
what more can I say.
Conclusion:
Well, I guess quick cash just isn’t my cup
of tea. I may be a fool to some - for not taking the risk and grabbing the
opportunity proven worthy to others. But as a Gen Y, I inherited this ego as
huge as a mountain, and overwhelmingly high sense of self-righteous. Ergo, I would
not do what I feel is wrong. And that’s that! I may start my own business in the
future or continue on climbing the corporate ladder (err…and struggle exhaustively in promoting work-life balance) or
marry some rich dude (an O&G
gentleman more likely) and retire. Ahahha… whatever it is, as long as I know
it is not legally, morally or religiously wrong.
That’s my 2-cents worth. HUH!
Bleyhhhh~ boringnya post niiii. ahaks!
Toodles~
